Finance Minister Launched "Union Budget Mobile App"

The Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Launched the "Union Budget Mobile App" for easy access of Union Budget documents and information in Digital form to all the stakeholders and users including the general public on 23rd January 2021, Saturday at the Halwa Ceremony organized to mark the final stage of the Budget making of 2021-22. Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur (Union State Minister of Finance) and all the dignitaries of the department were present on that occasion.

This Union Budget App makes Budget documents available to all the Members of Parliaments and General public alike, in one place. This app would facilitate the viewing of 14 Union Budget documents in the digital mode which are described below:
The list of 14 Union Budget Documents of the Government of India presented to the parliament includes:
A. Finance Minister's Budget Speech
B. Annual Financial Statement (AFS) which is mandated by Article 112 of the constitution of India
C. Demands for Grants (DG) which is mandated by Article 113 of the constitution of India
D. Finance Bill which is mandated by Article 110 (a) of the constitution of India
E. Statements mandated under FRBM Act:
a. Macro-Economic Framework Statement
b. Medium-Term Fiscal Policy cum Fiscal Policy Strategy Statement
F. Expenditure Budget
G. Receipt Budget
H. Expenditure Profile
I. Budget at a Glance
J. Memorandum Explaining the Provisions in the Finance Bill
K. Output Outcome Monitoring Framework
L. Key Features of Budget
M. Key to Budget Documents
The Documents of Budget 2021-22 will be available on the Union Budget Mobile App on 1st February 2021 after the Budget speech of the Finance Minister Concludes.
This App is available for Android and iOS platforms. The Android version of the app is available on Google Play Store and the iOS version is available on the App store.

The app can also be downloaded from the official website of Union Budget www.indiabudget.gov.in
Key Features of Union Budget Mobile App
The Mobile App is bilingual i.e. it is available in English and Hindi both languages.
It provides full access to the above-mentioned 14 Union Budget documents to all the people at large in digital form.
It has been developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) under the guidance of the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA).
The app has a user-friendly interface with embedded features of viewing, downloading, printing, search, zoom in and out, bidirectional scrolling, table of contents and external links, etc.
The budget documents will be available on the Mobile after the completion of the Budget Speech by the Finance Minister on 1st February.
